Anna Gunn

Anna Gunn is an American actor from the United States. Her best-known role is Skyler White on her role on the AMC drama Breaking Bad, for which she was awarded the Primetime Emmy Award in 2013 and in 2014 in the category of Outstanding Supporting Actress in the Drama Series. She played Jean Ward and Martha Bullock as well in The Practice. Anna Gunn was born in Sante Fe New Mexico, in the year 1968. The actress fell in love with acting at Preparatory school after which she moved to Ohio together with her family during the mid-70s. She studied theatre through Northwestern University and spent a semester at the British American Drama Academy. Anna spent a few seasons working in Chicago the theatre before moving to television and film. Anna was chosen to play Arden in the TV show Down the Shore in the series of 29 episodes Down the Shore. As a guest-star, Anna was on Seinfeld and NYPD Blue. It was only in the latter part of 1990 when she landed an acting role on The Practice. Martha Bullock played two full seasons on Deadwood, which was filmed during the middle 2000's. In 2008, she was cast as Skyler on Breaking Bad. Sully in addition to Deadwood was another film she appeared in. Gunn has also appeared on stage in David Schwimmer's show Sex With Strangers. She also appeared in the four-part podcast audio drama called Numbered Days, which was released in 2022. Breaking Bad is often centered around the love story that Walter White with his wife Skyler. Their strained bond and final break-up echoes the end of Walter White's personal life.
